A series of low-pressure systems will support the threat for a few snow showers to start the week.  All eyes are on next weekend when a storm threat is being monitored.

TODAY

A frontal boundary will linger over the region with scattered to broken cloud cover and a few snow flurries.  Winds will be light and variable.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

TONIGHT

A warm front will approach the region with broken cloud cover and a few snow showers.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will fall slightly into the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to mid-30s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

A cold front will follow with a few rain and snow showers with otherwise scattered cloud cover.  Winds will veer from the southwest to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

A cold front will clear the region in the morning with scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the single digits to lower 10s over the interior and mid to upper 10s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for highs.

THURSDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the teens below zero over the interior and the lower 10s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for highs.

FRIDAY

An area of low pressure will develop off the coast with increasing cloud cover and a few snow showers along the coast.  Temperatures will range from the upper 10s to the lower 20s over the interior and mid to upper 20s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

An area of low pressure will intensify well east of the coastal water with periods of snow showers along the coast and flurries over the interior.  Some snow accumulation will be possible.  A shift in the storm track to the west or east would have a significant impact on the outcome of the storm.  Windy conditions can be expected.  Temperatures will range from the single digits over the interior to the upper 10s along the coast for lows and mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY

High pressure will be in control with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the single digits over the interior to the lower 10s along the coast for lows and mid-10s over the interior to the lower 20s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower 10s over the single digits to lower 10s for lows and lower to mid-30s for highs.
