TODAY

Waves of low pressure will lift through the region today with periods of rain this morning giving way to scattered clouds with isolated showers this afternoon.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50s on Long Island and Connecticut, upper 50s to lower 60s in the New York City metro, and lower to mid-60s throughout the rest of the region for highs.

TONIGHT

The area of low pressure will lift through the region with widespread showers capable of heavy downpours this evening through early tomorrow morning.  Winds will veer to the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows.

TOMORROW

A cold front will swing through the region with scattered clouds and isolated to widely scattered showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.

SATURDAY

A trough will move through the region with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs.

SUNDAY

A cold front will move through the region with isolated showers.  Windy conditions are expected.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s t0 lower 30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY

High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid-10s over the interior to the mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for highs.

WEDNESDAY

An area of low pressure will approach with a warm front producing periods of showers throughout the region, mixing with freezing rain at times over the higher elevations.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior, upper 40s to mid-50s along the coast, and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

THURSDAY

A cold front will follow with scattered showers expected.  Temperatures will range from the mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior, lower to mid-50s along the coast, and upper 50s to lower 60s in the Delaware River Valley for lows and lower to mid-60s over the interior, lower to mid-60s along the coast, and upper 60s to mid-70s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
