Tranquil weather returns today but the threat for rain returns by tomorrow evening.  An active and cool weather pattern will continue through this weekend.

 

Scattered clouds are expected through this evening as high-pressure passes through the region.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid-40s to lower 50s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will approach tomorrow with increasing clouds in the morning and showers in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s for lows and upper 40s to mid-50s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will pass through the region on Friday with periods of rain.  Winds will be from the north at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior, mid to upper 40s in the New York City metro, and upper 40s to lower 50s in the Philadelphia metro for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior, mid-40s to lower 50s in the New York City metro, and mid to upper 50s in the Philadelphia metro for highs. 

A series of weak troughs will produce scattered clouds and isolated showers on Saturday.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 50s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers on Sunday.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior, upper 40s to mid-50s in the New York City metro, and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Philadelphia metro for highs.

 

Lingering showers are expected on Monday with scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and mid-50s to lower 60s for highs.
