The first of several low-pressure systems will pass through the region today.  Another two storms will bring periods of heavy rain Sunday and again by Wednesday night.

 

An area of low pressure will pass through the coastal waters through this evening with periods of rain expected through the afternoon hours.  Showers will linger into the evening with areas of low clouds.  Winds will back to the north at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures today will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

 

A series of weak troughs will pass through the region tonight through tomorrow with scattered to broken cloud cover and isolated showers.  Winds will veer to the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 50s for highs.

 

Another area of low pressure will move through the region on Sunday with periods of rain developing tomorrow night through Sunday afternoon.  Isolated showers and low clouds can be expected on Sunday evening.  Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior, mid-50s to lower 60s in the New York City metro, and upper 50s to mid-60s in the Philadelphia metro for highs.

 

A series of weak troughs and cold fronts will follow on Monday with scattered to broken low clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and mid to upper 40s for highs.

 

High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover on Tuesday.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 30s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will approach on Wednesday with increasing clouds and showers by the afternoon and evening.  Periods of rain can be expected on Thursday as the low-pressure system passes through the region.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and lower to mid-40s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the mid-40s to lower 50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.
