Periods of showers and an easterly wind will make for raw and cool conditions today, but improving conditions are on the way by the middle of the week!
An area of low pressure will pass through the region with periods of showers through this afternoon. Some of the showers will be capable of brief heavy downpours, however, most showers will be light with periods of drizzle and low clouds. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the New York City and Philadelphia metros, and mid to upper 50s
along the southern New Jersey coast.
The area of low pressure will exit the region this evening through tomorrow with areas of low clouds and lingering isolated showers. Skies will clear towards tomorrow evening. Winds will back from the north to northwest at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts. Temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for highs.
High pressure will build into the region on Tuesday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and mid to upper 50s for Long Island, upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, and lower to mid-60s elsewhere.
High pressure will exit on Wednesday with increasing clouds cover. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s to lower 40s along the coast for lows and mid-50s to lower 60s for highs.
An area of low pressure will produce periods of showers, heavy at times, and thunderstorms on Thursday. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s for the New York City Metro, and mid to upper 50s in the Philadelphia metro and New Jersey coast for lows and mid to upper 50s over the interior and New York City metro and mid-50s to lower 60s in the Philadelphia metro and southern New Jersey coast for
highs.
Isolated showers will linger on Friday, especially in the morning hours. Skies will clear towards the evening. Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40s for lows and mid to upper 50s on Long Island and upper 50s to lower 60s elsewhere for highs.
High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover on Saturday. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and upper 50s to lower 60s for highs.
