Onshore winds through at least Thursday will keep much of the region cloud and cool with just a few isolated showers a threat. More widespread rainfall is a threat by the end of the region.
A stationary front to the south of the region will produce scattered to broken cloud cover, drizzle, and a few isolated showers through this evening. Winds will back from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s to mid-60s for highs this afternoon.
The stationary front will remain in place tonight through tomorrow while Tropical Storm Arthur passes well to the south produce scattered to broken cloud cover and isolated showers. Winds will be from the northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph at times along the coast. Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows and lower to mid-60s for highs.
The stationary front will drift closer to the region with broken to overcast cloud cover and isolated showers on Wednesday. Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and mid-50s to lower 60s for highs.
High pressure will build further south from New England on Thursday with scattered to broken clouds expected. An isolated shower remains a threat, but unlikely. Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 50s on Long Island and lower to mid-60s elsewhere for highs.
An area of low pressure will approach and pass through the region on Friday into Saturday with periods of scattered showers. Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid-40s to lower 50s for lows and upper 60s to lower 70s for highs. Temperatures on Saturday will range from the lower to mid-50s over the interior and New York City metro and mid to upper 50s in the Philadelphia metro and southern New Jersey for lows and upper 60s to lower 70s
for highs.
