A stationary front will linger off the coast with waves of low pressure through this weekend which will keep an onshore flow with variable clouds and isolated showers from time to time.

 

With waves of low pressure lingering over the coastal waters and high pressure remains to the north, scattered to broken clouds with isolated showers and drizzle can be expected through tomorrow.  Winds will veer from the northeast to southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures today will rise into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid to upper 60s for lows and lower to mid-80s for highs.

 

By Monday the stationary front will wash out to a weak trough and high pressure over the Atlantic Ocean will be in control with scattered clouds expected after some morning fog.  An isolated thunderstorm is possible but not likely.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s for lows and mid-80s to lower 90s for highs.  A noted increase in the humidity will be noticed.

 

A cold front will approach the region on Tuesday with fog in the morning and scattered clouds with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Humid conditions can be expected with lows in the lower to mid-70s and highs in the mid-80s to lower 90s for highs.

 

The cold front will slowly move through the region on Wednesday through Friday with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures through the period will range from the lower to mid-70s for lows and lower to mid-80s on Long Island and mid-80s to lower 90s elsewhere for highs.

 

The cold front will stall off the coast by Saturday with scattered clouds and isolated showers.  Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s for lows and mid-70s to lower 80s for highs.
