Tranquil conditions will be in place for most of the region but a few pesky showers are a threat for parts of Long Island and Connecticut today.

 

A weak trough will produce a few isolated showers over Connecticut and Long Island today, otherwise scattered clouds can be expected throughout the rest of the region through this evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s for highs this afternoon.

 

High pressure will exit tonight with increasing clouds through tomorrow morning.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to1 5 mph.  Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50s for lows tomorrow morning.  

 

A cold front will approach tomorrow with widely scattered showers in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph at times.  Temperatures tomorrow will rise into the lower to mid-70s for highs.  

 

High pressure will build into the region on Thursday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Winds will veer to the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph at times.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 40s to mid-50s for lows and lower to mid-60s for highs.

 

High pressure will be in control Friday through Sunday with clear skies to scattered clouds.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s over the interior and mid to upper 40s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 60s for highs.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the mid-50s to lower 60s for lows and lower to mid-70s for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the mid-50s to lower 60s for lows and mid-70s to lower 80s for highs.

 

A cold front will slowly approach the region with on Monday and Tuesday with widely scattered to scattered showers.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-60s for lows and upper 60s to mid-70s for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 60s for lows and lower to mid-70s for highs.
