A coastal storm will move through the coastal waters tomorrow morning with periods of rain and even a bit of snow with parts of Connecticut receiving accumulating snowfall.
As the storm organized to the southwest, clouds will continue to increase and showers will develop in the afternoon. Showers will become widespread in the evening. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s to lower 50s for highs this afternoon.
As the coastal low-pressure system lifts towards the Mid Atlantic coast tonight, the rain will become widespread and heavy at times, especially along the coast. Winds will back to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will fall into the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows.
The low-pressure system will move through the coastal waters tomorrow morning with periods of rain, mixing with snow as cold air invades from northwest to southeast. The precipitation for the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas will end between 10 AM and 1 PM from west to east. However, for Long Island and Connecticut, the precipitation will continue into the afternoon and early evening hours with rain changing over to snow.
