...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY
MORNING...
The Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of northern New Jersey...and Pennsylvania...including the
following areas...in northern New Jersey...Sussex and Warren. In
Pennsylvania...Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, and Northampton.
* From Thursday afternoon through Friday morning
* Heavy rain will move into the region Thursday night, with between
1 and 2 inches of rain over the region and as much as 2 to 3
inches of rain over the southern Poconos.
* The heaviest rain will fall over snowpack with as much as an inch
of liquid equivalent rainfall, leading to rapid melting of the
snow.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has expanded the
* Flood Watch to include portions of New Jersey...and southeast
Pennsylvania...including the following areas...in New Jersey...
Hunterdon and Morris. In southeast Pennsylvania...Eastern Chester,
Upper Bucks, Western Chester, and Western Montgomery.
* From Thursday afternoon through Friday morning
* Heavy rain will move into the region Thursday night, with between
1 and 2 inches of rain over the region and as much as 2 to 3
inches of rain over the southern Poconos.

* Portions of northwestern Connecticut...western Massachusetts...New
York and southern Vermont, including the following areas, in
northwestern Connecticut, Northern Litchfield and Southern
Litchfield. In western Massachusetts, Northern Berkshire and
Southern Berkshire. In New York, Eastern Albany, Eastern Columbia,
Eastern Dutchess, Eastern Greene, Eastern Rensselaer, Eastern
Schenectady, Eastern Ulster, Montgomery, Northern Saratoga,
Northern Washington, Schoharie, Southeast Warren, Southern
Saratoga, Southern Washington, Western Albany, Western Columbia,
Western Dutchess, Western Greene, Western Rensselaer, Western
Schenectady and Western Ulster. In southern Vermont, Bennington,
Eastern Windham and Western Windham.
* From Thursday evening through Friday afternoon
* Heavy rain will move into the area late Thursday and continue into
early Friday morning. The rain will fall on a deep snowpack
leading to snow melt. This snow melt combined with 1 to 3 inches
of rain could cause urban and flash flooding. Flows in rivers may
increase quickly and rise above flood stage.

The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania, including
the following areas, in central New York, Broome, Chemung,
Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler, Steuben, Sullivan,
Tioga and Tompkins. In northeast Pennsylvania, Bradford,
Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern Wayne, Pike, Southern Wayne,
Susquehanna and Wyoming.
* From Thursday afternoon through Friday morning
* Rain develops Thursday, becoming heavy at times Thursday afternoon
through Thursday night. Warm temperatures will lead to significant
snow melt. Combined snow melt and 1 to 3 inches of rainfall could
cause urban and flash flooding. Flows in rivers may increase
quickly and rise above flood stage.
