An area of low pressure will bring periods of light snow, sleet, and rain to the region on Monday night through Tuesday with another winter storm threat possible by the end of the week.

 

High pressure will continue to build into the region with clear skies to scattered clouds.  A few flurries remain a threat for the Poconos.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph at times.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast with wind chills in the 10s.

 

High pressure will be in control tonight through tomorrow with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will range from the mid-10s to lower 20s for lows and mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for highs.

 

High pressure will exit on Monday with increasing clouds expected through the day.  Winds will veer from the northwest to northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid to upper 10s over the interior and lower to mid-20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will move to the south of the region Monday night through Tuesday.  Periods of light snow will develop in the evening hours on Monday.  The snow will mix with slight and rain for the southern suburbs of Philadelphia down through the southern New Jersey coast.  The precipitation through Tuesday will be light with some moderate bursts at times.  The precipitation at times will even stop from time to time.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 20s for lows and upper 20s to lower 30s for highs.

 

A weak cold front will follow on Wednesday with a few widely scattered snow showers.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the mid-20s to lower 30s for lows and mid to upper 30s for highs.

 

An area of low pressure will rapidly intensify off the southern Mid Atlantic coast on Thursday through Friday.  The exact track of this storm remains uncertain in terms of just how far north the precipitation shield will get.  At this time, periods of snow showers are expected, however, there is potential for significant snowfall and coastal flooding with the impacts of this storm should the storm end up slightly further north.  Temperatures will range from the lower to mid-20s over the interior and upper 20s to lower 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for highs on Thursday.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the lower to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to mid-20s along the coast for lows and upper 20s to mid-30s for highs.

 

High pressure will be in control on Saturday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the single digits to mid-10s over the interior and upper 10s to lower 20s along the coast for lows and mid to upper 30s for highs.
