A series of weak low-pressure systems will bring a few rain and snow showers to the region through tomorrow.  More widespread heavy rain is expected by Thursday evening.

 

A series of low-pressure systems and troughs of low pressure will pass through the region today through tomorrow with scattered to broken cloud cover and isolated to widely scattered rain and snow showers.  Winds will veer from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 mph through tomorrow.  Temperatures will rise into the mid-30s to lower 40s for highs today.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid to upper 30s along the coast for lows and upper 40s to lower 50s for highs.

 

A stronger low-pressure system will approach the region on Thursday with increasing clouds through the morning followed by periods of rain in the afternoon and evening.  The rain will be heavy at times.  Winds will back from the northeast to north at 5 to 15 mph, increasing to 10 to 20 mph by the evening.  Temperatures will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and upper 40s to lower 50s along the coast for highs.

 

The area of low pressure will exit on Friday with periods of rain mixing with snow before exiting in the morning.  Some minor snow accumulation on cold surfaces of a trace to an inch will be possible.  Skies will clear in the afternoon followed by windy conditions.  Temperatures on Friday will range from the mid to upper 20s over the interior and lower to mid-30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-30s over the interior and mid-30s to lower 40s along the coast for highs.

 

High pressure will be in control Saturday through Tuesday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 10s to mid-20s for lows and mid-40s to lower 50s for highs.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s for lows and mid-50s to lower 60s for highs.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-30s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the mid to upper 30s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.
