Highlights: Both Sunday and Monday will feature light winds and warm temperatures, but some low-level marine clouds may be possible at the coast for Monday. This may obscure sunshine and keeping temperatures cooler than most interior locations. Going throughout this week, there is some uncertainty with the forecast due to the marine influences expected. The exact extent of cloud cover and cooler temperatures for the coast will likely fluctuate day
to day.
Sunday: With a strong area of high pressure sitting right overhead, light winds and temperatures in the mid-50s to low 60s are expected regionwide, especially away from the immediate coast. For the second half of the afternoon, coastal locations may see a drop in temperatures as sea breezes influence the area.
Sunday Night into Monday Morning: Calm winds and clear skies will allow temperatures throughout the region to drop into the low to mid-30s. Low-level clouds along the coast may begin to build throughout the second half of the night.
Monday: Light winds out of the south and clear skies will allow temperatures again to push into the mid-50s to low 60s regionwide. Immediate coastal areas may hang onto some low-level clouds and temperatures in the mid-40s to low 50s.
Monday Night into Tuesday: Another night of calm winds and mostly clear skies will allow temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 30s regionwide. Some colder spots may be possible. A more extensive area of low-level clouds should overspread coastal regions. Areas of fog and mist are possible.
Tuesday: Clouds will move into the region from west to east during the morning hours. Temperatures will also push into the mid 50 to mid-60s throughout most of the region again, with coastal locations remaining uncertain. Low-level clouds and temperatures in the mid-40s to low 50s are possible at the coast.
Tuesday Night into Wednesday: Mostly cloudy conditions will continue, with scattered rain showers possible, with higher chances towards the coast. Temperatures in the low to mid-40s for the coast and upper 30s to low 40s for the interior are expected.
Wednesday: Broken cloud cover and some scattered interior rain showers may be possible, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s for the interior, and the upper 50s to mid-60s for areas away from the coast, which will be stuck in the mid-40s to low 50s.
Wednesday Night into Thursday: Regionwide temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s are expected. Some areas of scattered rain showers may be possible.
Thursday: Temperatures for the Philadelphia metro area and other areas in the southern portion of the forecast region will likely warm into the mid to upper 60s for today. Northern areas will likely warm into the mid-50s to low 60s. Again, coastal regions will likely remain cooler, with temperatures in the low 50s.
Thursday Night into Friday: Coastal temperatures in the low to mid-50s are likely, with temperatures remaining warm for the interior in the mid to upper 50s.
Friday: Likely the warmest day of the week, areas between the coast and the interior may see temperatures near 70 before a cold front moves through later in the day with some scattered rain showers. Temperatures in the upper 50s to mid-60s can be seen throughout the rest of the region. Since this is still 5 days, the exact timing of the front may change area temperatures.
Weekend: Temperatures near average are currently expected after the cold front moves through Friday evening.
