Tranquil conditions will give way to the threat for rainfall by this weekend with a strong warm front on Sunday morning.

 

High pressure will remain in control today through tomorrow with clear skies to scattered cloud cover.  Winds will veer from the east to southeast at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-60s on the coast, mid to upper 60s over the interior, and upper 60s to lower 70s in the Delaware River Valley this afternoon for highs.  Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s for lows and mid to upper 50s along the coast, upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior, and lower to mid-60s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.

 

A warm front will approach the region on Saturday with increasing clouds and isolated showers in the afternoon and evening.  Winds will be from the southeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows and lower to mid-60s on the coast and mid-60s to lower 70s elsewhere for highs.

 

A warm front will lift through the region on Sunday morning with periods of rain, heavy at times.  A cold front will follow on Sunday afternoon and evening with showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures on Sunday will range from the lower to mid-50s on the coast, mid to upper 50s over the interior, and upper 50s to lower 60s in the Delaware River Valley for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s along the coast and upper 60s to mid-70s elsewhere for highs.

 

A series of cold fronts and troughs will move through the region Monday through Thursday with scattered to broken cloud cover and isolated showers.  Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-40s to lower 50s for lows and lower to mid-60s on the immediate coast and mid-60s to lower 70s elsewhere for highs.  Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.  Temperatures on Wednesday will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s for lows and lower to mid-50s over the interior and upper 50s to mid-60s along the coast for highs.  Temperatures on Thursday will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s for lows and upper 40s to mid-50s over the interior and mid to upper 50s along the coast for highs.
