As a coastal storm slowly departs this morning, unsettled conditions will linger through the rest of the weekend with a threat for a shower or two.
The low-pressure system will depart this morning with lingering rain and snow over Connecticut and Long Island. Scattered clouds with isolated showers are expected by this afternoon. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-40s over the interior, upper 40s to lower 50s in the New York City metropolitan area, and lower to mid-50s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for
highs.
A series of troughs and weak low-pressure systems will move through the region tonight through Sunday with scattered clouds and isolated showers. Winds will back from the northwest to west at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and mid to upper 40s over the interior and lower to mid-50s along the coast for highs. Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 30s to mid-40s for lows and
mid to upper 50s over the interior and upper 50s to lower 60s along the coast for highs.
A series of weak cold fronts will move through the region on Monday and Tuesday with scattered clouds and isolated showers. Temperatures on Monday will range from the mid-30s to lower 40s for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs. Temperatures on Tuesday will range from the lower to mid-40s for lows and lower to mid-60s along the immediate coast and mid-60s to lower 70s elsewhere for highs.
An area of low pressure will produce widespread rainfall on Wednesday. Temperatures will range from the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows and upper 50s to lower 60s over the interior and mid to upper 60s for highs.
High pressure will produce clear skies to scattered cloud cover on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures on Thursday will range from the lower to mid-30s over the interior and upper 30s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-40s over the interior and mid-40s to lower 50s along the coast for lows and upper 50s to mid-60s for highs.
