Tropical conditions will continue through tomorrow before a cold front produces waves of showers and thunderstorms this weekend. A cooler, drier weather pattern briefly returns late next week.
Today through tomorrow, a series of weak troughs to the south of the warm front will produce low clouds and fog in the morning followed by scattered clouds and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid-80s along the immediate coast and higher elevations and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley and urban areas for highs.
Temperatures tomorrow will range from the upper 60s to mid-70s for lows and lower to mid-80s along the immediate coast, mid to upper 80s over the interior, and upper 80s to lower 90s in the Delaware River Valley and urban areas for highs. A heat index in the mid-90s to lower 100s can be expected in the afternoon hours.
A cold front will approach on Saturday with scattered showers and thunderstorms away from the coast and isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms along the coast. The thunderstorms will be capable of intense downpours, frequent lightning, hail, and wind gusts over 40 mph. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to mid-70s for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast and mid-80s
to lower 90s away from the coast.

The thunderstorms will be capable of torrential downpours, frequent lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph. Temperatures on Sunday will range from the lower to mid-70s over the interior and mid to upper 70s along the coast for lows and lower to mid-80s along the coast and higher elevations and mid
to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs. Temperatures on Monday will range from the lower to mid-60s over the interior and upper 60s to mid-70s along the coast for lows and mid-70s to lower 80s over the interior, lower to mid-80s along the coast, and mid to upper 80s in the Delaware River Valley for highs.
