A much more comfortable week is ahead with lower temperatures and humidity. A cold front approaches the region on Wednesday bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Uncertainty heading into next weekend as a system looks to bring more unsettled weather our way.
Sunday: Much more comfortable conditions are expected as yesterday's system clears the region. Skies will be mostly cloudy with some peaks of sun. Some isolated showers are possible. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s to low 80s for most locations while the mountains will be stuck in the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds will be from the WNW at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s to low 70s.
Monday: Partly cloudy skies with the chance of an isolated shower are expected. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s for southern locations while northern locations will be in the low 70s to upper 70s. Winds will be from the NW at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s to low 70s.
Tuesday: A brief return to stickier conditions will happen as southwest flow returns causing heat and humidity to rise. Partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 80s to upper 80s are expected. An isolated shower can't be ruled out. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will be in the mid-60s to low 70s.
Wednesday: A cold front will be pressing through the region and bring relief from the heat and humidity. Mostly sunny skies with scattered afternoon thunderstorms can be expected. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s to low 90s for southern locations while northern locations will be in the mid-70s to low 80s. Winds will be from the SW at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will dip down into the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Thursday: The cold frontal passage will usher in more comfortable conditions with lower temperatures and humidity. Mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s can be expected. Winds will be from the NW at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Friday: A pleasant day is expected with partly cloudy skies and the chance of an isolated afternoon shower. Temperatures will be in the low to upper 80s for southern locations while northern locations will be in the mid-70s to low 80s. Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s to upper 60s.
Weekend: A calm start to the weekend with intervals of clouds and sun before a system moves into the region on Sunday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected at this time but there is some uncertainty as to how potent the system is. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s before turning slightly cooler on Sunday.
