A rather wet and unsettled week is ahead as an upper-level low slowly meanders through the region. Showers, drizzle, and heavier embedded showers are all expected. The low will pull away and we start to dry out as we head into the weekend.
Sunday: A dreary day is expected today as a low-pressure system approaches the region. Stubborn early morning fog will dissipate as the day progresses. Skies will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible for northern locations during the day before a steadier rain moves in overnight. Temperatures will rise into the mid-70s to low 80s for southern locations and upper 60s to mid-70s for northern locations. Winds will be from the southwest at
5-10 mph. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Monday: Overcast conditions with scattered showers are expected as the low-pressure system slowly pulls away. Some embedded steadier rain is possible at times. Temperatures will rise into the mid-70s to low 80s for southern locations while northern locations are stuck in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 50s to mid-60s for southern locations and low 50s to upper 50s for
northern locations.
Tuesday: Another dreary day is expected with mainly overcast skies and peeks of sun. Off and on widely scattered showers and drizzle is possible. Temperatures will reach into the low 70s to upper 70s for southern locations while northern locations will be stuck in the mid-50s to low 60s. Winds will be from the northeast at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will drop into the low 50s to near 60.
Wednesday: A very similar day as yesterday is expected. Mostly cloudy skies with widely scattered showers and drizzle are possible. High temperatures will rise into the low 60s to near 70 with some mountain locations struggling to reach 60. Winds will be from the east at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will drop into the mid-50s to low 60s.
Thursday: A front will be draped just south of the region and will be responsible for overcast skies and widely scattered showers. Peaks of the sun are possible for northern locations. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s to mid-70s. Winds will be from the west at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the low 50s to upper 50s with far southern locations in the low 60s.
Friday: The front will begin to push its way through our area and bring more widespread showers. Otherwise, cloudy conditions can be expected. High temperatures will rise into the low 70s to upper 70s. Winds will be from the east at 5-10 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the low 50s to near 60.
Weekend: We will begin to dry out a little over the weekend but some residual showers are possible, especially on Saturday. Otherwise, a mix of sun and clouds can be expected. High temperatures will range from the low 60s to near 70. Winds will be from the east at 10-15 mph. Overnight lows will range from the mid-50s to the low 60s.
