High pressure will exit the region with increasing clouds. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. Low temperatures will range from the lower to mid-40s over the interior and suburbs, and upper 40s to lower 50s in urban areas.
TOMORROW
A trough will approach the region with increasing clouds and widely scattered showers in the morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon, with some thunderstorms reaching severe levels. The thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours, frequent lightning, hail, wind gusts over 40 mph, and isolated tornadoes.
Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures will range from the mid-50s to mid-60s on Long Island, upper 60s to lower 70s in the New York City metropolitan area and interior, and mid to upper 70s in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
